GUEST PROFILE

Ron Bronson

Ron Bronson works on big problems, largely in tech but not exclusive to it.

Right now, he is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Urban Technology at the University of Michigan, where he teaches service design and helps students think about cities as complex systems. Previously, he was Head of Design at 18F, the U.S. government’s digital consultancy, and has spent two decades working between information architecture, service design & advising senior leaders. Recently, he organized the Portland Digital Corps and in 2024, organized Design For the Public conference. He is an ex-oficio board member & past president of AIGA Portland.

He is especially interested in how technology is used to mediate trust and what it's doing to civic life.
